Michele Womble: Home
Writing songs for me is often a natural part of my time with God. I pray, I read the Scriptures, and as I try to understand, I write. My goal as I write is not a song, but to somehow understand what it is that God wants me to know. Now and then I end up with a song. I suspect that should my goal become writing the song rather than knowing God, there won't be any more songs to write.
Reading the Bible is a journey, and learning to live it - an adventure, as different portions of Scripture unfold in new ways, in multi-layers, leading to the same unfolding of the knowledge of God.
These songs reflect what that journey has been so far.
A Few Small Fish (2009)
Written in Siberia, and mostly while reading through the gospel of Mark, A Few Small Fish explores from different perspectives the implications of attempting to really love others - to participate at least in a small way in the love with which Jesus loves.
