After Six Days, Jesus led them up on the mountain and was transformed before them, giving them, and us, a glimpse and taste of who He really is and the glory to come, and with that, a glimpse of the possibilities of our own transformation.  In part, that process is at work in each one of us even now.  These 10 songs are my response to that process in my life at the time that I wrote them.

Like the other albums in what I call “the trilogy”, while the songs stand alone - each have a message and story of its own - the album taken together is designed to tell a bigger story of transformation.   If you are able I would love for you to listen to the album as a whole, from beginning to end, starting with Living Stones and ending with Rise.   But if you only have time for one, then I recommend  I Am Just a Woman.  (My husband would say “Rise" or “Learn to Love”. )

The album has been a long time coming.  I wrote most of the songs in the early 2000s, together with the songs that are on the other two albums in what I call “The Trilogy”.  Recording was done in a studio in Siberia in 2015, in the fall and cold and the heat was off in the building which all makes a good story.  It has taken us all these years and distance in between to overcome various obstacles and finally bring the album to completion. Why, in retrospect, it took so long, I'm not really sure.  But maybe it fits with the theme of the album, transformation. Sometimes it's fast, and sometimes it seems to take an excruciatingly long time.

Most of my songs were written in response to something I was reading in the Bible and how I was relating to God about it.  In the (I hope near) future, I plan to add a page for each song with a lyric video and  description of what I was reading and maybe a little on why I was responding the way I did, and any other verses that contributed to the song.

This album completes what we have referred to as “the trilogy” -the ministry album, the calling album, and the transformation album.  Respectively, A Few Small Fish, The Calling of a Priest, and After Six Days.  Find out more about the other two albums in the trilogy,  A Few Small Fish and  The Calling of a Priest
